Veronica was a student of mine at Florida Atlantic University in 2012. She was finishing her master's degree, which provided her with an emphasis in nonprofit management. Veronica was one of my best students. She understood the concepts presented, and was able to translate the theory into practice in a way none of the other students could. She had real life experience that she brought into the classroom, and that was clear. Even more important, however, was her level of commitment. Finally, her ethics are strong. We often talked about real-life issues that fell in the gray area. But, there was no gray for her. She believes strongly in the right way of doing things - even if it's hard or unpopular.
